Electromechanical Engineer (Broadcast)

We now have a great opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Electromechanical Engineer (Broadcast) to join our committed and growing team.


Camera Corps provides a wide range of specialist camera equipment to support all types of content production, from television and film to corporate productions and conferences. 

This includes the supply of specialty remote cameras, remote tracking systems, underwater, SSM and unique minicam systems that operate at the cutting edge of broadcast technology, and which are used in some of the most prestigious events and productions worldwide, from high profile entertainment shows to International sporting events.


The Camera Corps business is part of The Vitec Group plc, an international Group providing premium branded products and services to the broadcast and photographic markets and has worldwide operations and is the market leader in its principal fields.



Key Responsibilties:

  • Assisting in the design and development of new Camera Corps Robotic camera systems
  • Assisting in the provision of product training to customers and Vitec personnel
  • Servicing and back-up for track systems and other products for both rentals and sales
  • Fault finding to component level on Camera Corps and other broadcast equipment
  • Assisting in the updating of software and record keeping
  • Providing technical advice to clients as required by the business



The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven Electromechanical engineering experience
  • Good knowledge of specialist servo systems
  • Ability to modify existing track systems to improve performance or to adapt the track to suit particular applications
  • Familiarity with testing, maintaining and repairing track systems
  • The ability to design new track systems for specific new jobs or functions as required
  • Previous experience of CAD – mechanical design, software development and a knowledge of manufacturing processes along with previous experience of communicating confidently with all levels of an organisation would be useful.
