Digital Workflow Supervisor
We're looking for a Digital Workflow Supervisor to join our Post-Production operation in Soho, London.

This key, senior role requires substantial experience working in a high-end, file-based Post environment with detailed knowledge of Pipelines, Systems, Networks and Software Development.

The successful candidate will be required to:
  • Build a team responsible for an end to end pipeline considering technology, workflow, operations and production layers and the key phases of Dailies, VFX Pulls, DI and Deliveries
  • Review our current Production pipeline and refine and automate where possible
  • Launch Technicolor’ new cloud based workflow management system (Pule) in the UK and integrate this system into the Production Pipeline 
  • Align Project Management Team (Producers) to the Pulse / Production Pipeline

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Manage the process to establish and maintain Technicolor’s Premier End-to-End Digital Production Pipeline (Pipeline) providing a consistent and repeatable Pipeline spanning all Post Production departments built on automation and operational efficiencies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure integration of primary production systems and the implementation of a common workflow
  • Engage with Production, Editorial and VFX teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of distinct operational workflow needs and support the development of workflows tailored to individual productions
  • Accurately Document and Project Manage the creation of Pipelines and workflows
  • Coordinate the management of the Production’s media and metadata for online operational access and archiving including liaising with Technology Services to build relevant data hierarchies and ensuring that the media and associated metadata is accurate, linked and accessible within the Pipeline
  • Supervise the successful handover to Operations and Production of both the primary pipeline and any given project Pipeline, training team members on pipelines and procedures to ensure the repeatable, methodical and consistent use of the pipeline by each user
  • Support and maintain the Pipeline, identifying enhancements to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the pipeline through automation, implementing pipeline alterations and upgrades
  • Investigate any pipeline-related issues and take corrective action as necessary, documenting good working practices. Generate and maintain detailed technical documentation on pipeline modifications.
  • Comply with security protocols for every Production, work to minimise all security breach risks, comply with required standards and take remedial actions to pass all security audits.


Qualifications & Competencies required:
  • Substantial experience working in a high-end, file-based Post Production environment with detailed knowledge of Pipelines, Systems, Networks and Software Development
  • Good appreciation for software and software development process
  • Strong knowledge of AVID Media Composer / Storage systems, Baselight, Flame, Clipster and how these tools interact
  • Deep understanding of the myriad of digital camera file types, VFX formats, etc.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating efficiencies within Digital pipelines leading to increased quality of output and reductions in operational costs where applicable
  • Excellent project management skills, organized and works well under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and able to deal with multiple challenging stakeholders with differing views and priorities
  • Must be collaborative and a team player, able to work with local and global resources involved in bringing together this global approach to workflow management
  • Contribute proactively to team meetings and act as an ambassador when representing Pipelines outside the department.
