Broadcast Engineering Manager

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced and highly motivated Broadcast Engineering Manager to join a leading digital content provider based in the Yorkshire.


Key Responsibilities:

You will manage the on-shift team focused on providing engineering support across the contribution, production and distribution of sports content to OTT platforms, acting as a key point of escalation for technical issues and driving continual service improvement. 

You will be responsible for fault-finding, fault management, reporting, identifying improvements across processes, systems and workflows and ensuring documentation is provided and updated.



The Ideal Candidate:

Candidates will have a proven background as a hands-on Broadcast Engineer with previous supervisory / line management experience, covering staff rostering, training and development plans. 

You will have in-depth knowledge of broadcast systems and infrastructure, studio production workflows, contribution and distribution encoding technology and satellite and fibre circuits. 

A genuine passion for broadcast, IP based media technology and working in a live television environment is also essential, along with the ability to thrive under pressure.


Any additional experience of project planning, project management, budgetary and financial awareness and third party supplier management will be highly advantageous.



Working Hours:

The working hours for this position will predominantly be a standard Monday-Friday week, however please be aware there will be a significant expectation to be available outside of normal business hours for key events and escalated issues.
