Music Editor [Spanish-speaking]
We're now searching for a talented Music Editor to create great Playlists for music listeners in Spain.

You'll need prior experience in music programming - plus fluent Spanish.


The successful candidate will:

  • Pitch, create, and optimize editorial features across a wide range of genres in tune with user interests.

  • Contribute to the improvement of back catalog selection and metadata quality

  • Identify and drive co-promotion or cross-promotion opportunities with internal and external partners

  • Conduct metrics-based analysis of playlist performance and provide recommendations for enhancing their effectiveness

  • Support partner and technical teams to troubleshoot user-facing issues

  • Work with Engineering to ensure all titles in programming plans are ordered and ingested

  • Participate in regular meetings with content partners, in order to identify editorial opportunities

  • Contribute to client's global editorial team and its efforts to drive site improvements and innovative features on behalf of users worldwide.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Create, commission, and QA playlists

  • Maintain Online Store Music’s editorial calendar for a Spanish audience

  • Data entry for monitoring performance of playlists and campaigns.


Candidate Profile:

As a Music Editor, you are a self-starter who will ramp up quickly to contribute to our client's Music editorial team. You have experience working as a playlist curator, music journalist or critic, or editor for a digital music service. 

You are well-versed in the music -- from mainstream to niche genres -- and popular culture most relevant in Spain. You are a music expert, but are also able to understand and program to the interests of an average music listener in Spain.

Additionally, you bring strong analytical abilities and impeccable oral and written communication skills. You possess a high degree of comfort and flexibility when working cross-functionally with product, design, marketing, engineering, and other teams to develop an innovative user experience. 

You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively to develop new ideas and scalable processes. You bring a proven ability to prioritize, meet critical deadlines, and take on challenging tasks with enthusiasm and a problem-solving mindset.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Educated to BA/BSc level

  • 1-2 years in an editorial / merchandising role for a mobile or online digital content business

  • Ability to speak and write in Spanish and English fluently and idiomatically.
