Head of Localisation

With facilities in London, Los Angles and Bangalore, we provide media-supply chain services to some of the world's largest entertainment brands.


We’re now looking for a seasoned manager and growing leader in the localisation industry. 

About Us

We’re heavily involved in digital media. We ingest, post, process, localise and deliver thousands of premium TV programs and films to broadcasters and high profile video on demand platforms globally. 

Since 2013 we have been a Netflix Preferred Vendors in the UK. Our client base is made up of all of the major names in Film, Television, Broadcast and VoD industry.

We are now searching for a talented individual to fill a key role on our management team: Head of Localisation.

Areas of Responsibility


  • Managing the UK localisation team and service offering
  • Overseeing development of in-house systems
  • Develop pool of translators and localisation team
  • Managing and developing client relationships and client retention alongside the sales team
  • Managing the localisation work for the UK/Europe
  • Liaising with Visual Data US on localisation services
  • Developing and managing in-house localisation team
  • Maintaining and developing existing and new third party relationships
  • Taking enquiries and providing quotes to clients
  • Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating rates as required
  • Oversee projects from start to finish, including the trafficking of material between client and suppliers, and daily communication with both parties
  • Managing workflow to ensure projects are completed on a timely basis, within budget and completed to high standard of quality at all times alongside scheduling team
  • Working alongside the client services, operations and sales teams efficiently and effectively
  • Using your initiative to deal with issues as they arise
  • Process supplier invoices and completing project admin
  • Ensuring that our database is kept up to date with account information, projects notes, etc.
  • Taking a lead on client and supplier management, maintaining strong communication channels.

Person Profile

Summary:

With 3+ years' relevant experience, the successful candidate must currently be resident in the UK.


You should have bags of experience in managing translators, 3rd party vendors, QC’ers and liaising with clients, both internally and externally.


You’ll understand the nuances and workflows of orchestrating concurrent dubbing, voice-over, captioning and subtitling projects with multiple nested deadlines.  


You will bring great organisational, team building, networking, communication and technical skills to the department.
