Business Development Manager (Games/VR/AR)

We are looking for a dynamic and commercially aware Business Development professional to continue to expand Preloaded’s client base.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a dynamic and commercially aware Business Development professional to continue to expand Preloaded’s client base as we progress our mission to reinvent the way organisations connect with their audiences, through games and, more broadly, play.


The central purpose of this role is to drive and nurture new business growth in strategic areas, generating and negotiating new income for the business to an agreed annual target.


ABOUT YOU

You will be a self-starter, responsible for both your own individual set of targets, and will require previous experience in a business development role in a digital, tech and/or gaming industry.


You will operate as a crucial brand ambassador for Preloaded and our Play with Purpose philosophy, championing the value of games across sectors. We are working in an exciting and changeable industry, so we need someone with vision, ambition and creativity to help bring it to life.


You will report into the Head of Strategy but will operate as a critical central point of contact within the Preloaded studio, responsible for leading and coordinating the creative, production and technical management team to ensure an effective execution of the business development plan.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute effective business development plans, aligned with the Preloaded strategy.
  • Conduct regular analysis of key areas for business growth and explore opportunities for business expansion, informed by the overall Preloaded strategy
  • Manage, track, and nurture Preloaded’s relationships with clients and partners, in the UK, and internationally.
  • Attend meetings with clients, listen to client requirements and scope potential projects.
  • Collaborate closely with LTG Marketing functions, to execute effective biz dev plans as they relate to marketing.
  • Project manage and/or support the day-to-day running of the pitch process, coordinating the collaboration of key stakeholders for the delivery of proposals and presentations against client requirements.
  • Pitch to clients and lead pitch teams in a variety of functions: production, facilitating brainstorms, competitive research, data requirements, logistics.
  • Be an advocate for the company, promoting the philosophy and team where possible, including writing blog posts, speaking at industry events and maintaining our voice in the community.
  • Ensure that all engagement and relationships are captured in appropriate systems, undertaking all sales and CRM administration.


ABOUT YOU

Key Experience:

  • You must have 3-5+ years’ experience in business development and/or client management, including proven ability to grow business from existing client relationships (UK or international).
  • You must have experience winning business in the digital and/or gaming sector.
  • You must have strong market and commercial awareness, evidenced by experiences developing strategy business development plans, successful delivery against targets, ability to build credible relationships across businesses and knowledge of the sector.
  • You must have experience working across creative, production and technical departments in a consultancy environment, in terms of leading client proposals.
  • Experience and an understanding of creative and ‘packaging’ of ideas/presentations, is desirable.
  • Experience taking part in effective marketing campaign and outreach activity and ability to make recommendations, is desirable.
  • Bachelor/Master degree is desirable, but not a requirement

 

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to develop strategic plans/ideas and drive tactical implementation.
  • Project management (capable of helping to run large-scale pitches).
  • Ability to build credibility with senior personnel within PL and clients and prospects.
  • Razor-sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • CRM, Salesforce and LinkedIn proficiency and keen to develop more technical skills is helpful
  • Creative, proactive and organised, able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Inquisitive and constantly identify and assess new opportunities to maximise the potential of Preloaded.
  • Flexible attitude, appreciating that the competitive and client landscape is constantly evolving and able to adapt approach accordingly.
