EURO 2020 Additional Programming Production Expert
UEFA’s Editorial and Content Services team is looking for an experienced Additional Programming Production Expert. 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of all UEFA EURO 2020-related programming.
UEFA’s Editorial and Content Services team, which delivers centralised matchnight services and content to broadcast partners, national associations, clubs and internal stakeholders for all UEFA competitions, is looking for an experienced Additional Programming Production Expert. 

Reporting to the Additional Programming Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of all UEFA EURO 2020-related programming, both prior to and during the tournament. 

This role, which represents a unique opportunity, will require you to coordinate with various project teams in the lead-up to the tournament.  This will include teams putting together promotional material, filming host cities and producing previews, as well as setting up UEFA’s in-tournament programming operation, which will be based at the EURO 2020 International Broadcast Centre (IBC), and will involve more than 300 people, with up to 36 ENG crews on the road).

You will initially be based in Nyon, before relocating to the IBC in May 2020. You will then be based at the IBC for the duration of EURO 2020.

  • Managing all EURO 2020-related programming, from pre-production to final delivery 
  • Establishing and managing production budgets and schedules, including the raising of purchase orders, the tracking of invoices, and the carrying out of reconciliations and budget forecasts Preparing tender documentation detailing the requirements of all in-tournament services overseeing the tender process and evaluating all bids in conjunction with the Additional Programming Manager
  • Preparing all supplier contracts and related schedules
  • Managing and submitting the staffing plan for the in-tournament operation and requesting related services from relevant internal stakeholders
  • Integrating freelancers and fixed-term staff into the team with the assistance of the Production Coordinator, which will include raising contracts and ensuring that all related documentation has been received
  • Preparing and reviewing internal documentation for internal staff and external suppliers, which will involve assisting with the preparation of training documents, standard procedures, guidelines and workshops
  • Organising shoots, which will include the booking of film crews, equipment, travel, filming permits, carnets and accreditation as required
  • Clearing third-party material (archive footage, music rights, etc.)
  • Performing occasional ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as required. 


Experience required: 
  • Minimum of five years’ production management experience in a broadcast or production company, preferably in a sports environment with major event experience.

  • English / Advanced 

Additional requirements
  • A sound understanding of the various phases of a production process, including compliance, third-party approvals, insurance, and health and safety
  • A working knowledge of broadcast formats, technologies and equipment, tapeless workflows and distribution, including digital and satellite delivery
  • Excellent administrative, numeracy and organisational skills, with the ability to react to changes in priorities by re-organising your workload to meet deadlines and targets
  • The ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and deal sensitively and confidently with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • A team-oriented approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills, with extensive knowledge of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel (ideally with experience of SAP and Farmer's Wife as well)
  • Budget Management / Advanced.
