Post Production Executive
Halo Post Production are looking for an experienced Post Production Executive to join their talented Production team. 


As Post Production Executive, you will be expected to be a main point of contact (account holder) for a number of key clients. 

You will be expected manage post-production on a variety of genres and you will facilitate the projects as they progress through the facility, helping to build strong working relationships with existing and new clients. In addition, you will help the company focus on generating repeat business, as well as quote on new business as new leads present themselves.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of productions as they progress through the facility, ensuring smooth handovers, liaising between internal departments (sales, operations, creatives and accounts) as well as with Halo’s clients. Responding quickly & appropriately to all requests.
  • Carefully book in projects based on the agreed quotations and on the productions’ post schedule. Pre-empting potential issues and planning ahead as best you can.
  • Effectively monitor projects making sure they deliver on schedule and within budget, reporting any extra costs should they arise.
  • Booking freelance creatives and 3rd party partners, with the guidance and approval of the Head of Production
  • Accurately report to clients on final costings and promptly invoice projects in good time and as per agreed terms – invoices / cost reports should be issued weekly every Monday
  • Co-operating with the other Halo post producers to ensure best utilisation of resources across all jobs.
  • You will be capable of understanding, pitching and quoting all aspects of Post Production undertaken by the business in a professional manner in order to promote the Company’s brand and service offering.
  • Advise clients on best technical practice and most efficient post production workflows, and manage these workflows throughout the project.
  • To assist, when requested, cover for other post producers during times of absence.
  • Assisting with training of junior members of the team.

  • To utilise the Bookings Assistant as day to day help in all aspects of your productions.
  • You will proactively maintain and develop productive relationships with all the Company’s existing clients.
  • You will keep yourself abreast of new technologies as they are adopted by the company from time to time and take an interest introducing them to our client base.
  • Work alongside the sales team to help pitch for new productions. To successfully liaise with clients on current and upcoming projects, brokering post production business, and ensuring a detailed and thorough handover with the chosen post producer (if not yourself).
  • Liaising with the Commercial Director and Sales team, ensuring you’re up to date on current sales targets and status of quotes in the pipeline.
  • Attend events and functions as necessary to project an active and positive industry presence and stay up to date with relevant technological advancements.
  • To ensure that all required documentation and administration is effectively completed, including but not limited to forward sales, ScheduALL, Quotes and Project Information forms.
  • To actively assist with financial forecasts and budgets, reporting any relevant client or industry information that could influence strategy and decision making.
  • To actively maximize sales and new business as part of an overall sales strategy in conjunction with the Sales team and the wider Halo support staff, ensuring a wide client base and a high level of return business.
  • To effectively contribute and to log sales activity so that leads can be analysed, information shared and followed up regularly.
  • To actively and regularly pursue new business and develop current client relationships to encourage continued return work; to ensure client diversity and scope.
  • To contribute to pitch for larger contracts and tenders where they will provide regular revenue and help build company prestige.
  • To contribute to developing stable growth of the business and the reputation of the company within the Film & Broadcast industry.



Qualifications and Experience



  • A minimum of five years' Post Production experience in the industry with a demonstrable track record of success
  • Experience working across a range of genres
  • A good knowledge of Post Production tapeless workflows, technologies and terminologies.
  • A thorough understanding of Post Production HD & UHD workflows
  • Good numeracy, literacy and writing skills.



  • Knowledge of ScheduAll software, Google Sheets and Docs an advantage.
  • A good practical knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software, database management and invoicing systems.
