Head of Film Acquisition (Italy) – C4573

A key senior content acquisition role for a  Global SVOD provider.

This important role has responsibilityfor supporting, defining and executing content strategy for feature films on the service across the Italian region.

This role is based in Italy and requires fluent Italian and English.


Our client is an international provider of SVOD content, and is home to a huge portfolio of original content.


You will own and execute the content acquisition strategy for original and local film content for the company’s Italian service.

Key Responsibilities -  

  • Lead all aspects of content negotiations, including content selection, financial analysis and forecasting
  • Manage relationships with key content providers/producers
  • Collaborate with internal teams  and report to senior leaders on performance
  • Utilise behaviour, usage and consumption data to update processes
  • Liaise with senior members to develop new services and product offerings.



With a superb track record in a similar content acquisitions role within the Italian audiovisual market, you will have an in-depth understanding of Italian audience viewing habits and a broad circle of regional contacts.

You will also have the ability to negotiate complex license or business development agreements and the ability to influence senior contacts and clients.
