Media Coordinator

Encompass Digital Media require a Media Coordinator to join their busy team at their base in West London.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Main Purpose:

The Media Coordinator role involves being part of a team responsible for the delivery of an efficient, pro-active and professional media coordination service. Key responsibilities include ordering, processing and maintaining records of transmission material, the edit/re-cutting of subtitles and coordination of Audio suites bookings.

 

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all transmission assets are ordered and processed in a timely fashion
  • Order and tracking required language versions and ensuring they are delivered back in time for planned transmission
  • Responsible to check and re-cut subtitles
  • To work closely with other departments/playouts to ensure that the whole operation is working in regards to content/subtitles and audio
  • Communicating issues that may affect the output of any channels to relevant parties and reacting to any potential issues in an effective manner
  • To ensure all records and systems are always filled in and updated with current information
  • Maintain records of arrival of material and when necessary return/recycle tapes
  • Download; raise workflows and process transmission assets
  • Coordinate transmission assets through ingested
  • Follow standard operating procedures to ensure that client’s standards are met and build client relationship to deliver an excellent service
  • Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of all relevant regulations and internal company policies
  • Coordinate, book and manage the Audio suites
  • Assisting and support other team members/teams as and when required
  • To help with previewing as and when required.

ABOUT YOU

Knowledge & Experience:
  • The role requires a few years of administrative experience
  • Knowledge of broadcasting is not necessary but knowledge of film & video format standards is desirable along with subtitling software knowledge
  • High level of numeracy and excellent attention to detail and Excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential
  • Added Scandinavia language would be an advantage, but not a necessity
  • Experience of dealing with clients
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • Good working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases (i.e. Microsoft Excel)
  • Experience with media asset management systems
  • Experience with file based broadcast operations
  • Computer literacy is essential

  • Location: Chiswick, London
  • Reporting to: Screening Manager
  • Hours of work: Mon to Fri, 40 Hours per week.
