Asset & Logistics Manager

We are seeking an Asset & Logistics Manager to join our team in Hemel Hempstead.

The role reports to Chief Financial Officer.

The Role


  • Global oversight of all fixed assets and software inventory located in UK head office as well as in South African, Indian and Australian subsidiaries.
  • Optimise utilization of permanent and temporary software inventory, managing the expenditure and related supplier relationships.
  • Enhance asset control and management processes to ensure accountability, asset location and status, and manage contracts (license, insurance, service history and warranty maintenance).
  • Maintain control over purchase of assets, including negotiation with suppliers, management of the processing of orders, and receipt of assets. 
  • Manage the disposal of aged assets, ensuring compliance with regulations over asset disposal.
  • Work closely with the Technology team to identify future hardware and software requirements.
  • Distribution of accurate reports to key staff globally regarding asset identification, stock levels and location.
  • Responsible for the ongoing development of the asset and scheduling system (Mediapulse/Xytech).
  • Arrange for, and track, all freight movements of assets, advising Projects, Engineering and Operation teams of collections and returns.
  • Ensuring Books and Records (Fixed Asset Registers) reconcile across the group entities, including conducting regular inventory review.


The Candidate

Skills required:

  • Very strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Competent with using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise with great initiative and can-do attitude
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Sage knowledge would be preferred but not essential.
  • Previous Asset Management experience is preferred but not essential.
