The Data Coordinator will work on a day shift and be a team leader in the technical operations team and be responsible for supervising the Media I/O data area and ensure efficient management of all incoming and outgoing data and to continuously review processes for improved management of data.

Job Purpose & Summary:

The role will be responsible for assisting the Technical Operations Manager with scheduling and in the training and development of the Data I/O Operators. The job holder will be the go to person for day to day queries that may arise due to Operators being off shift and provide continuity for the I/O area.


The role will work alongside the Conform Editor; Senior Media Operator and Media Logistics Coordinator roles to ensure the smooth running and high standard of service delivery of the Technical Operations Team.


Key responsibilities are to manage the DMG and throughput of data on a day to day basis and to work with the Conform Editor to manage the media management of the SAN and other networked storage devices.


Key responsibilities include:

  • In the Technical Operations Manager absence – assist in areas of Data IO responsibilities and day to day scheduling of the operators.
  • Developing and training the staff in the Media Data I/O Operators.
  • Monitoring the workload in the Media I/O Operators and ensure that preparations for future projects are put in place, this involves working closely with the IT/Engineering support team.
  • Providing support to staff and clients with regard to data processes and deliveries (for example, queries about how to access FTP sites or advice on drive formatting options).
  • Ensuring that the Media IO Operators complete DMG tasks accurately
  • Overseeing the Media I/O Operators whilst they undertake any ancillary services they may be called upon to complete.
  • Complete general tasks of the Media IO Operators if required.
