Production Assistant
Exciting opportunity to work in the production department of this digital arts platform. 
 
Working closely with the Production Coordinator and Producer, you will be responsible for providing support in all areas of the production and post process.

We have been commissioned to capture 10 live theatrical performances over the next 12 months. These captures will represent a cross section of the best that British theatre has to offer. 


To fully capitalise on this opportunity, we are looking for a talented Production Assistant with experience in both production and post-production enviroments.

 

The Role

 

This is a pivotal role, ensuring that our content output remains best-in-class.

 

Key Responsibilities

Based in London and reporting to the Producer, you will:

  • Help to set up the production office with the necessary supplies
  • Support the Production Coordinator in all admin tasks relating to DT shoots
  • Attend and assist on all DT shoots
  • Be responsible for tracking media coming into and out of the office
  • Transcode media
  • Set up edit projects
  • They may be an opportunity to take on simple edit tasks
  • Act as a courier when required
  • Tasks will be very varied on a day to day basis
  • Some evening & weekend work maybe required.


Candidate Profile

 

Desired skills and experience:

  • Experience of working as an assistant/runner in a production and post-production enviroment
  • Proficient on Avid & Premiere Pro software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of filming and post production workflows an advantage
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise conflicting workload efficiently 
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and alone
  • Stamina, persistence, enthusiasm, motivation and a proactive manner
  • The ability to remain calm and level-headed under pressure
  • Initiative, flexibility, adaptability, common sense and problem-solving skills
  • Sound administrative and organisational skills
  • An interest in and enthusiasm for the work of captured performance.

 

Details

  • This role is initially offered as a 12 month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension
  • 21 days annual leave + bank holidays.
