Primary Events Scheduler - Shorts TV India

A key role within Shorts TV to ensure primary events are accurately applied to the Shorts TV India channel.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working closely with the Head of Programming, you will schedule all short films and programs to the programme grid requirements to retain and maximize audiences. You will also coordinate and liaise with playout centres and staff based in Europe and India.


Primary Duties:

  • Programme planning required for an HD television channel
  • Preparing and coordinating the programming material
  • Populating and maintaining the scheduling database and organizing channel content
  • Viewing and checking previously viewed and rated new acquisitions
  • Day to day scheduling, presentation and sending transmission schedules
  • Working with production/on air and operations departments to ensure all material is delivered for transmission
  • Process as run logs accurately and in a timely manner
  • Preparing VOD Monthly Programming lists.


ABOUT YOU
Key Knowledge:
  • TV program scheduling experience is required
  • Understanding of broadcast operations/traffic/transmission
  • Understanding/experience of graphic scheduling
  • Familiarity with Media Fusion or channel management/Scheduling systems
  • Strong understanding and interest in the international film/short film market is preferable Experience in scheduling television advertising.

Key Skills:
  • A high degree of computer literacy is important
  • Must have a high level of organizational skills due to lead times for deliverables
  • Must have an attention to detail
  • The ability to produce accurate and consistent work under pressure
  • Excellent communicator with multi task capabilities
  • Team player
  • Having worked within programming dept., broadcast, media experience
  • Ability to schedule to an Indian audience
  • Hard working self-starter, able to take initiative
  • Team player and willing to pitch in with various activities with small company.

Reporting toDirector of Programming

Hours of work: 9am-6pm

Compensation: £31,000.
