Digital Designer (3-6 months contract)

Calling all Digital Design contractors!

BS&T Digital, working exclusively for Trafalgar Travel would love to meet a first class Digital Designer to join them for 3-6 months.


You’ll be part of a team whose sole focus is on Trafalgar’s digital efforts so this is very much akin to a client side role.

From Europe, the Americas, to Asia, Australia and New Zealand, we pride ourselves on enabling their guests to capture the true essence of a destination and see the world from the inside.

The digital marketing team (aka Trafalgar Basecamp) form a core part of Trafalgar’s strategic vision, and represents a key channel in their global marketing and sales plan. We’re on the hunt for a highly experienced and intelligent digital designer to join the team. 

At Trafalgar Basecamp we work on global, world-class campaigns and projects - you’ll be the driving force behind the creation and delivery of a range of cross-platform digital work.

Role requirement in brief:

  • Create standout visual design concepts for global and regional marketing campaign briefs
  • Ability to work to a brief, on time and to a high standard
  • Concepting your ideas while considering how these ideas can work across all digital channels
  • Communicate your ideas quickly and effectively, using sketches, wireframes, comps or prototypes as necessary
  • Evolve the brand’s visual identity, working in line with the current style guide
  • Working with multiple stakeholders to prioritise deliverables
  • A passion for challenges, team player with the patience to listen.



You’ll be a visual geek with an insatiable curiosity for problem solving with form and function. You will also need to be a personable self-starter who can liaise and collaborate with our talented and passionate team in delivering engaging and inspiring creative that translates across the digital platforms.

Key Skills:

  • Exceptional core graphic design skills across typography, layout and artworking
  • Advanced working knowledge of  Adobe Creative Cloud Apps – Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign are essential
  • Be able to explain and justify design decisions based on best practice and/or 
  • In depth knowledge of file formats, specifications and production workflow structure
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating flexibility and a range of skills across creative, artworking and digital
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • HTML5 Banner creation, Adobe Animate, Google Web designer or similar
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Design from commercial and marketing based principles.

Desirable skills:

  • Animation experience eg; After Effects, principle or similar
  • Video editing e.g. Premiere pro, Final cut pro or similar
  • Prototyping experience eg; sketch, Invision or other
  • Additional languages
  • Agency experience is favoured although not essential.
