HR Manager

Are you a well-rounded HR generalist from perhaps a television or broadcasting background?


Arena Group require a HR Manager to play a crucial role as part of their operations team.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will oversee all the HR function within the business, keeping up to date with employment law and as a result developing and amending the employee handbook, policies, procedures and processes where required.

 

The Role

  • Develop and monitor HR policy and procedures and implement changes where necessary to align with the company's culture.
  • Embedding the culture and values that are key to the business and supporting mangers to ensure best performance in a motivated environment.
  • Provide advice on recruitment and selection strategies.
  • Support the recruitment process- this may include writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and application forms etc.
  • Carry out new starter inductions.
  • Provide first line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers.
  • Dealing with performance management and ensuring line managers have an effective appraisal process in place.
  • Identifying, developing and monitoring areas within health and safety.

 

The Person

Essential skills, experience & attributes:

  • Proven up to date knowledge of employment law.
  • A relevant qulaification or degree, with full CIPD qulaification.
  • Confident to develop policy and practices that are relevant and suitable.
  • Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters.
  • Able to work in a stand-alone capacity.
  • A self-starter, able to liaise at senior levels.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Desired Skills, Experience & Attributes:

  • Background in broadcast or television would be advantageous but not essential.
