Cinema Support Manager (NOC Manager)
We're looking for a skilled manager, with client management experience, who knows what it means to go the extra mile for their team and their clients.

The role in brief:

You will lead a support team of 8, who work on a 24/7 rota ensuring that cinemas have everything they require to play the films that MPS distribute and manage. 

Your team will be the first point of contact for cinemas (and often Distributors too) when they have a potential playback problem. We do whatever we can to make sure a film plays. Our motto is no dark screens allowed!


As a team leader, you will be responsible for developing the team in line with MPS’ short and long term goals, using effective strategy implementation, training and leadership. 

You will work closely with many other departments and clients, nurturing working relationships, troubleshooting technical issues and implementing new and improved workflows.


What else will you do?

Training & Development - Managing the training and recruitment programme for the team. Ensuring the team have all necessary training to fulfill their role.

Building a Strong Department - Support the team, using coaching and motivational techniques to ensure they are fully dedicated to MPS and the role they provide for the company.

Budget & Target Management - Ensuring all targets are reached (and exceeded), and managing the departmental budget.

Keygen Management – Overseeing the day to day management of Keygen (our proprietary system that distributes KDMs). Ensuring the system is kept up to date with content and cinema information.

Product & User Training - Working alongside the Producer/Client Services team to train customers on Keygen and other appropriate MPS software systems.

Technical Support & Problem Escalation - Ensuring that the team have all available resources to effectively troubleshoot problems, and are able to escalate issues appropriately when required.

Exhibition Project Development - Managing all developing projects that relate to exhibition support and/or content delivery. These include BAC, and OnCinema.

Be the Business Owner for Keygen - As the business owner for Keygen, you will work closely with the Head of Development and the Product Owner, ensuring that the correct features and bugs are prioritised (as per MPS’ client and business needs)


Who are we looking for?

We are looking for exceptional candidates, with a proven track in a similar role.  Someone hands on, resilient, hard working, with a can-do attitude. 

Strong technical and problem solving skills will be essential, while experience working within the Digital Cinema industry would be a strong benefit. A skilled manager, with client management experience, who knows what it means to go the extra mile for their team and their clients. 

Previous experience working in/managing a NOC will also be of benefit.
