Data & Delivery Specialist
Digit require a Data & Delivery Specialist to join our expanding team. 

This role is initially offered as a 6-12 month remote working contract but could lead to a permanent remote working role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Aims of the Job:

To ensure the timely delivery of all assets through the Digit workflows to the end delivery platforms. This will involve management of the schedule, programme metadata, publishing of metadata, reporting, KPI management; and some partner communication.  


This role would suit someone from a planning / scheduling role, who understands data and wants to get a little more involved in the implementation of new processes & systems to ensure a smooth supply chain.


Organisation:

The post holder will work as part of the Digit Technical Operations Team. The role reports in the Director of Technical Operations.

Context:

The Digit Technical Operations Team is responsible for all incoming and outgoing media, tape ingest, transcoding, file/tape management, QC, metadata management and file receipt/delivery ensuring a high quality professional service at all times.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of the correct metadata to various online and broadcast platforms
  • Data management using a customised SharePoint system, ensuring data integrity/validity
  • Creation of new data mappings between CSV, Excel, and other DB formats
  • Liaising with the Director of Technical Operations to establish new data workflows, processes and documentation of processes
  • Working with the Senior engineers to assist with the creation of new workflows and the onboarding of new platforms
  • Planning of existing deliveries against new client/platform end-point integrations
  • Working closely with the Account Manager(s) to ensure workload is prioritised correctly
  • Reporting of KPI’s, assistance in creating Dashboards for each client
  • Training/Mentoring of new junior members of the team.

ABOUT YOU
Required Knowledge & Experience:
  • Must understand key data concepts or have intermediate-expert level knowledge of excel / data manipulation.
  • Understanding of XML (not developer level).
  • Understanding of key SharePoint concepts.
  • Have worked in a deadline driven environment, and managed multiple work threads
  • Experience in fault finding and problem solving, and a proactive approach to tackling things head on both in a team or individually.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience of working in a programme sales, post-production, or video logistics business
  • Knowledge of content delivery workflows, for the programme distribution market
  • Knowledge of relevant metadata standards, DPP, EBUCore, FIMS.
  • Scripting (dos, bash)
  • Basic Understanding of programming & basic coding skills e.g. Python, JS.
