Operations Assitant
Little Dot Studios is one of the fastest growing next-generation media companies in the UK. We manage YouTube channels and social video for over 100 global TV brands, from Gordon Ramsay and The Graham Norton Show to Formula E.

We are seeking an Operations Assistant to join us on an initial 3 month contract.

We also produce original and branded video content, and have launched several award- winning branded campaigns.


ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Operations Assitant to join the team.  Operations Assistants are key members of the Little Dot Studios team and need to be proactive and enthusiastic with a range of skills. 


The day-to-day role will include video editing and basic graphic design, optimizing existing content, repurposing TV content for online, managing our materials library, content logging, channel uploads and other general support to Channel Management team.

 

All applicants should be able to show demonstrable interest in online video and social media, and experience in video editing and graphic design.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Helping to build and maintain YouTube channels: Designing brand assets, creating clips, editing compilations, optimizing metadata and uploading to a schedule agreed with the channel management team 

  • Live-clipping and creating and optimizing video for other social platforms 

  • Managing a materials library, following existing edit 
processes and naming conventions 

  • Writing copy for YouTube and social media, understanding the importance of 
editorial voice and tone 

  • General department support and assisting the Channel Management team with the running of their channels.


ABOUT YOU

Key Skills & Experience required:

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter), specifically their use of video and the differences between the platforms 

  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects
  • Excellent knowledge of different videos formats, video compression, sound/video synchronisation 

  • Proven experience/ability and genuine enthusiasm for video editing and graphic design
  • Ability to work under pressure managing multiple tasks, and an interest in taking on real responsibility within a rapidly growing and dynamic start-up
  • Impeccable spelling and grammar
  • Willing to work outside of typical 9-5 hours when needed, due to the nature of the job and the projects being undertaken 

  • Great communication skills, with a positive attitude and a good sense of humour.


Desireable attributes:

  • Some knowledge of the YouTube content management system and other video platforms 

  • Some knowledge and understanding of trends in online content consumption and how to maximize them 

  • Bachelor degree in media/related subject 

  • Other languages.
