Post Production Workflow Supervisor

MSV POST provides Post Production services for all the production companies within the Tinopolis group in London and Glasgow.


The role of a Post Production Workflow Supervisor within MSV Post  is to manage content from acquisition through to delivery on all of Tinopolis output. 


You will be expected to work within a busy Post Production environment and be able to understand and work within the confines of various workflows with meticulous detail. 

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to deadlines in a professional and sustainable manner whilst ensuring the smooth day to day operation of the department.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be the face of MSV Post
  • Supervision of the day to day workload
  • Attend meetings on behalf of MSV Post 
  • Researching, qualifying and delivering bespoke workflow design
  • Ability to provide accurate advice on the most efficient and cost effective solutions for the business.
  • Setting and enforcing day to day operational workflow
  • Provide cover in manager’s absence.
  • Advanced communication to manager, escalation of Issues.
  • Maintain an overview of all work and projects being dealt within the department.
  • Review requests and advise on any concerns.
  • Assign work to the most appropriate member of edit operations   
  • Ensure all equipment and resources used by the department are in full working order.
  • Training members of the team in new workflow or practices.
  • Creating and maintaining a comprehensive library of both written and graphical workflows across the full range of platforms within post production.
  • Produce all guides and workflows associated with external productions, communicate with clients and maintain the integrity of the workflow
  • Advanced First line support to all editing and production staff
  • Manage TX critical productions to ensure deadlines are met
  • Manage tier 1, 2 and 3 storage solutions
  • Log and report support and workflow issues.


Specialist Knowledge:


  • Avid Video Editing Products
  • Adobe Premier Pro
  • Video standards and codecs
  • Advanced Understanding of post-production tape and file based  workflows
  • Project management
  • Avid Storage Products
  • QC
  • LTO archive and restoration.

  • Experience of MAM systems
  • Avid Protools.
